About PRIP
Participatory Research and Innovation Program (PRIP is a women’s Organization founded by women domestic workers, to bring about practical inclusive development through promoting inclusive policies, legislation and practices. Women domestic workers work in an unregulated environment, which exposes them to violations in regards to employment rights, unfair remuneration, and bad working conditions. This group of workers is employed casually without any form of written agreements, the terms of engagement are limited to an individual commitment to the tasks and payments. PRIP is focused in empowering the voiceless women and girls especially domestic workers with timely information, skills, tools, and economic resources to champion for their rights, lead the development of their own communities and realize their full potential. The idea is to create spaces where women and girls, being the intended beneficiaries, feel comfortable and enjoy the freedom to express themselves without the fear of judgment or harm, intimidation, threats, stigma and discrimination.
